Jane Austen’s English cottage is one of the most significant literary homes in the world. Today, the house stands as a museum dedicated to preserving her legacy and the history behind her work. In the first installment of our Her Literary Home Webinar Series, we welcome historian and author Dr. Lucy Worsley (Jane Austen at Home) and Lizzie Dunford, Director of Jane Austen’s House, for a conversation exploring the role this Hampshire cottage played in Austen’s life and writing, the ongoing work required to preserve literary heritage sites, and why these landmarks continue to matter to readers today.
